How to read your water meter
- Write the white/black digits (left side). These are whole kilolitres (kL).
- Place a decimal point between the white and red digits.
- Write the red digits (right side). These are litres — 3 red digits = thousandths of kL.
Example above: 01234 | 567 → 1234.567 kL.
If your meter only has two red digits, enter two decimals (e.g. 98.05 kL). If it has four, enter four decimals.
Tip: Take a clear, straight-on photo. We’ll store the photo as proof of your reading.
